A hostile mob that does not move (walk and run speed = 0
it spawns on a new node named: sunflower_pot, which is craftable. Sunflower_pot should spawn naturally on the surface of mars. The spawn chance for the mob, on the sunflower_pot node is very high, maybe 90%.
it shoots an arrow that is yellowish and clear and glows. The reload speed is .01 sec. The arrow moves very fast. This produces a "ray" of damage. The hitpoint of each arrow is minimal, Maybe .1 hearts. The event when the arrow hits a node is that there is a 5% chance of placing a new sunflower_pot node at the impact location.
Here is the backstory for the mob:
The sunflowers arrived from a distant planet in the form of seeds. But this was no ordinary plant. The twisted cogs of evolution had slowly given them a powerful defense against their predators, which were small rodent-like creatures. They had reflective leaves, which caught the sun's rays. When one species developed a rudimentary intelligence in the form of a collective mind, it quickly made use of its leaves to target its predators with a multi-directional solar ray, that, with enough intensity, fried its adversary in its tracks. Of course, this provided a useful source of nutrients as well, which caused great fields of sunflowers to grow. This drove it's former adversary almost to extinction. Having developed greater inteligence, the sunflowers set their sights upon new planets. With great effort, they developed a container that could carry their young across the vast void of space. It was the first sunflower pot. This marvelous device kept millions of sunflower seeds deep within the crevices of its fertile soil, and allowed each one a chance to grow, when placed in ideal conditions. Then all the sunflowers had to do was wait. A few millennia later, the proliferation of the sunflowers had caused the soil to be depleted, and the once mighty sunflower race had gone extinct. Only the pots remained. Then one fateful day, a space trader ship arrived, to investigate the planet. All they found of the once- great sunflower civilization was numerous sunflower_pots scattered over the surface. These they stowed in their hold, and sold them for a great sum in the next galactic trading post that they came to. Thus began the galactic conquest of the sunflowers. People quickly realized what the sunflower pots were used for, and were delighted when a sunflower plant grew from it when placed on the patio. The reflective rays of heat were a nuisance, but one which would be tolerated for the novelty of owning one of these magnificent plants. However, they did not anticipate how invasive this species could be. In addition to reflecting rays, the sunflower easily dispersed its seeds, and soon got into the ecosystem. There it spread, growing in number and thicket density with every kill. If one was foolish enough to go to the sunflower fields, he would be instantly incinerated by the concentrated rays of the sun reflected from millions of the plants. Yet people are set in their ways... they continued to transport the pot throughout the Galaxy. When Governments tried to ban the invader, it quickly gained substantial value on the black market. And every world that it came to soon had localized Death fields of the Sunflower. They would go unnoticed for a time, then they were weak. It was easy to kill a single plant, yet one could never complete the job. Bounties were placed upon the number of sunflower stalks harvested, yet some always slipped through the cracks. And eventually, when the defenders had given up, the Sunflowers multiplied, and conquered yet another world. To spread throughout the known universe was their goal, and they accomplished it using the vanity of their prey.
