Yeah, I know that was going to cause some pain. Especially with you since you had nether-net all labeled. The new signs mod was significant simpler and lightweight and more consistent with the design I want for the game. It was a change that needed to just happen. Since we are still in development, this is one of the things I will refer to the warning in the chat: things subject to occasional developments and changes.
There are technical ways to maybe important and convert things, but it is more realistic and easier for me to just make the change and deal with the fallout from players. Its something that is much better long-term and moving forward.
The new sign, as I've said already, is simpler and lightweight. Its developed by MoNTE in the forums and was a piece of software I convinced him to release through an argument we had about free licenses vs permissive licenses. Its a great contribution to the minetest project and I really appreciate him releasing that. What do you think of the new signs?
I also have seen the errors about the craftguide. I think that involves anything related to fire_animation texture in craftguide. I dont know if that happened because of me removing the default:signs references or if that is something related to minetest 5.2.0-dev. if you have the repo version before i updated to new signs on your computer can you check that?
I really appreciate the bug report. I have been working on a lot of developments. I hope to get them done soon. I think we should find a way to better collaborate with contributers as well. I try to invest time in this as much as I can alongside my other priorities.
